Step into VAN SPEYK, a cozy Amsterdam brasserie in the heart of the city. Just a short stroll from Central Station and Dam Square, at Spuistraat 3A, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy classic Dutch flavors and a warm atmosphere.
In a restored warehouse dating back to 1659, you can dine intimately in a romantic interior with 4-meter-high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, antique paneling and centuries-old building walls.
Savor the flavors of the Netherlands at VAN SPEYK, from fresh Zeeland Mussels and Oysters to North Sea fish. Enjoy traditional classics like Stamppot with smoked sausage and rich gravy, confit de canard with sauerkraut, a perfectly grilled Steak & Frites with pepper sauce or try our local Dutch lamb served with crispy fries and our homemade mayonnaise.
With this we serve a good glass of wine from our extensive wine list or an ice cold local Beer on tap in a monumental ambiance with Amsterdam hospitality.
VAN SPEYK is open Monday through Saturday from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. ( kitchen until 10 p.m. )

Groups & Events at VAN SPEYK
Large groups are very welcome at VAN SPEYK—we can accommodate up to 70 guests.
For parties of 10 or more, we offer a 3-course group menu. Menu adjustments can, of course, be arranged to suit your preferences.
À la carte dining is also possible for groups, but we kindly ask that orders are placed in advance.
